Fundraisers

The Mountain Communities Volunteer Fire Department (MCVFD) relies heavily on fundraising events to support our daily operations and purchase much-needed equipment and supplies. We greatly appreciate your participation in our fundraisers.

Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast

Our biggest fundraising event is the annual MCVFD Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast. The event takes place at Station 2 in Westcreek and features a fantastic breakfast, door prizes donated from our generous partners, meet and greet with our first responders, tours of the station and the trucks, an appearance from Smokey Bear, a visit from our local emergency medical response helicopter, and plenty of fun for the whole family. The event is free to attend, however tax-deductible donations are accepted and appreciated.

Hot Dog Cook Outs

People preparing food under a tent with a fire truck next to themWhen the weather's nice on the weekends in the summertime, we like to bust out the grill and serve up some hot dogs, chips, and drinks in the parking lot at Station 2 in Westcreek. Grab a dog to go or pull up a chair and hang out with us for a while. Our goal is to feed residents and visitors while trying to fill up a fire boot with donations. We try to host cook outs on a regular basis in the summer and will give advance notice here and on our Facebook page.
